Hello! Just have a few things to say regarding watermarks and people stealing personal customs. What I'one thousand about to say applies to specific artists I've seen recently. If y'all're not an editor or creative person and you're just looking for a head/trunk upload, experience gratis to continue scrolling.
I apologize in advance for my thoughts being so disorganized, but I think you'll get the point.
Regarding Erasing Watermarks and Stealing Customs:
I cannot stress this plenty, but if y'all are going to edit one of my original heads, Exit I OF THE WATERMARKS … aka where the head says "Poppy," or whichever artist'southward watermark is on the upload. Calculation your watermark is fine if you've edited information technology, merely don't erase the original artist's proper noun. I let people to edit or "transform" my work, if that's what you would similar to call it, just don't erase my watermark and slap on yours. Not cool, babe. I spend hours on some of my heads, just for people to erase my name in 2 minutes. Not. Cool. Babe.
I'm as well not trying to debate editing is not "transformative." Still, when someone pays for art or a head explicitly designed for themselves, other people don't automatically get the right to take what belongs to them. Call back of stealing uploads similar this:

The Mona Lisa is plainly a very famous painting, and yes, it has been recreated and transformed in then many ways. Simply nobody recreated the Mona Lisa and didn't at least give credit to Da Vinci. I'thou non saying this to try and discourage anyone from editing or making art/uploads. I don't even know if the person this is directed towards will read this. Perhaps something will get lost in translation. I will admit when I started editing, I made the same error of copying a caput without permission, simply I took the criticism and learned from it (this was literally 10 years agone (2012), so don't come at me. (Wow, I'thousand old…)).
At that place are hundreds of public Graal websites and a wide variety of heads you can choose from to edit. The majority of the artists that run these public websites even encourage edits and give you permission to edit the customs. The issues and angry confrontations or comments you receive only arise when you steal and practice not adhere to the artist's conditions. Nothing bad e'er came from beingness respectful towards the artists and respecting their wishes to keep an upload to oneself. I'm simply asking that these people stop taking what'southward not theirs, specially if it was a commission for someone else that was not intended for y'all to employ.
I besides want to look at this issue from another perspective. Y'all edit a head that you stole from someone who commissioned the caput from a well-known artist. You decided to post your edited version on your website and didn't requite any credit whatsoever. Now what? Does that mean you're trying to accept credit for it? It seems like it, since you plaster your name on the back of each head and erase the other names. I don't understand what you're trying to get out of this. Credit? Graal… fame? Anybody knows you lot didn't brand the upload from scratch. So… why wouldn't you just respect the creative person's wishes and get out their watermark on information technology? I can't speak for all uploads, but most of the time, the watermark is on a death frame you see for one-half a 2nd. It's barely fifty-fifty noticeable. And then merely leave it, please. It'll even save you the try of copy/pasting over it.
Equally I said, I'g not trying to discourage anyone from making fine art. I'm not trying to start drama, because ohmygosh graal drama is and so non worth it. I'm just trying to brand a point. Some people may read this and think I'yard overly obsessed with graal uploads and will tell me to arctic out, lol, just I'm non mad for me, I'thou mad for a friend. I practise non care much if someone steals 1 of my uploads – I don't have whatever uploads I go on to myself anyway. If you lot ever come across me around Graal, you'll normally see me wearing heads I already have up on this site or heads I'k testing to mail service hither in the hereafter. Anyway, if it wasn't articulate, this rant was but my thoughts on a situation where a friend of mine had a head they commissioned stolen and was later posted on another website. Information technology's one thing to take a head someone edited for free, simply it's truly unfair to people who PAY for custom heads and have them stolen. Get your easily off their work and edit community you have permission to use… or become a caput commissioned yourself. It's much more rewarding to accept something original.
Plain, I won't straight expose the person or their website because, equally you tin can see, I disagree with people who do this. I don't desire to give them exposure because others may think this is okay and follow in their footsteps. This rant can too apply to many other beginner artists, so I'yard just going to leave it equally a general bluster to people who steal community and erase watermarks.
